From Teacher to Lord

'They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”'
- Mark 4:41

Before the storm, the disciples knew Jesus as a wonderful "Teacher." They enjoyed His insights, watched His miracles from a distance, and respected His leadership. But it took a terrifying tempest to show them that He wasn't just an instructor—He was the Lord over creation itself. When He spoke, the roaring wind instantly died down into a flat calm.

God never wastes a storm. He uses the trials we endure to shift our perspective of who He is. We move from a casual acquaintance with a historical "Teacher" to a deep, unshakeable relationship with the "Lord" of our lives. When you survive a storm by His power, your soul gets anchored in a way that prosperity could never achieve.

Your fear of the circumstances transforms into a beautiful, holy awe of your Savior. Looking back at past storms, how did God use those difficult times to mature your faith and reveal His true character to you?

​De Maestro a Señor

'Ellos estaban espantados y se decían unos a otros: ―¿Quién es este que hasta el viento y el mar le obedecen?'

Antes de la tormenta, los discípulos conocían a Jesús como un maravilloso «Maestro». Disfrutaban de sus enseñanzas, veían sus milagros desde la distancia y respetaban su liderazgo. Pero hizo falta una fiera tempestad para mostrarles que Él no era solo un instructor: Él era el Señor sobre la creación misma. Cuando Él habló, el viento rugiente se calmó instantáneamente hasta quedar por completo tranquilo.

Dios nunca desperdicia una tormenta. Él usa las pruebas que soportamos para cambiar nuestra perspectiva de quién es Él. Pasamos de tener una relación superficial con un «Maestro» histórico, a una relación profunda e inquebrantable con el «Señor» de nuestras vidas. Cuando sobrevives a una tormenta por Su poder, tu alma se ancla de una manera que la prosperidad nunca podría lograr.

Tu miedo a las circunstancias se transforma en un hermoso y santo temor reverente por tu Salvador. Mirando hacia atrás a las tormentas pasadas, ¿cómo usó Dios esos momentos difíciles para madurar tu fe y revelarte Su verdadero carácter?
