​Jesus Is in Your Boat

'That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”'

The disciples faced a terrifying storm, yet Jesus was right there with them. How often do we forget God's presence when life becomes turbulent? The storms you face today—whether relational, financial, or spiritual—do not mean God has abandoned you. Jesus sleeping in the stern reminds us that He is never anxious about what concerns us. His peace is not the absence of storms but His presence in them.

​Today, acknowledge where you feel afraid and remember this truth: if you are following Jesus, you are never navigating alone. His presence transforms everything. Stop focusing on the size of your storm and fix your eyes on the size of your Savior.

​Jesús está en tu barca

​'Ese día al anochecer les dijo a sus discípulos: ―Crucemos al otro lado. Dejaron a la multitud y se lo llevaron en la barca donde estaba. También lo acompañaban otras barcas. Se desató entonces una fuerte tormenta y las olas azotaban tanto la barca que ya comenzaba a inundarse. Mientras tanto, Jesús estaba en la popa, durmiendo sobre un cabezal, así que los discípulos lo despertaron. ―¡Maestro! —gritaron—. ¿No te importa que nos ahoguemos? Él se levantó, reprendió al viento y ordenó al mar: ―¡Silencio! ¡Cálmate! El viento se calmó y todo quedó completamente tranquilo. ―¿Por qué tienen tanto miedo? —dijo a sus discípulos—. ¿Todavía no tienen fe? Ellos estaban espantados y se decían unos a otros: ―¿Quién es este que hasta el viento y el mar le obedecen?'

Los discípulos se enfrentaron a una tormenta aterradora, sin embargo, Jesús estaba allí mismo con ellos. ¿Con qué frecuencia olvidamos la presencia de Dios cuando la vida se vuelve turbulenta? Las tormentas que enfrentas hoy —ya sean relacionales, financieras o espirituales— no significan que Dios te haya abandonado. Jesús durmiendo en la popa nos recuerda que Él nunca está ansioso por lo que a nosotros nos preocupa. Su paz no es la ausencia de tormentas, sino Su presencia en ellas.

​Hoy, reconoce en qué áreas sientes miedo y recuerda esta verdad: si estás siguiendo a Jesús, nunca estás navegando solo. Su presencia lo transforma todo. Deja de enfocarte en el tamaño de tu tormenta y fija tus ojos en el tamaño de tu Salvador.
