From Head to Heart to Hands26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. 12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. The longest journey in faith is the twelve inches from head to heart. We accumulate biblical knowledge, memorize verses, and understand doctrine—yet transformation stalls when truth remains intellectual. Hebrew thinking recognized that mental activity should naturally produce corresponding action. When God "remembered" Noah, He acted on his behalf. When Scripture says "know," it implies intimate, life-changing relationship. How many concepts do you know that haven't yet traveled to your heart? God promises to give us new hearts and put His Spirit within us, causing us to follow His decrees. This isn't self-improvement; it's divine transformation. Today, identify one truth you know intellectually but haven't embraced emotionally. Ask the Holy Spirit to move it from your mind to your heart, then watch how naturally it flows into your actions.
