The Gospel's Transforming Power

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” l
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Programs, strategies, and production value have their place, but only the gospel possesses power to genuinely transform lives. We've witnessed people reject perfectly packaged presentations while embracing Christ through simple, unadorned testimonies. This reveals a profound truth: salvation belongs to the Lord, not to our methods. While we should pursue excellence, we must never trust in our cleverness more than God's power. The gospel doesn't need our embellishments—it needs our faithfulness in proclaiming it. Are you intimidated by sharing Christ because you lack eloquence or resources? Remember that God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom. The message of the cross, though offensive to some, remains God's power for salvation. Today, pray for boldness to share the simple gospel with someone. Trust that God's Word accomplishes what He purposes.

18 Me explico: El mensaje de la cruz es una locura para los que se pierden; en cambio, para los que se salvan, es decir, para nosotros, este mensaje es el poder de Dios. 19 Pues está escrito:
«Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios;
frustraré la inteligencia de los inteligentes.»
20 ¿Dónde está el sabio? ¿Dónde el erudito? ¿Dónde el filósofo de esta época? ¿No ha convertido Dios en locura la sabiduría de este mundo? 21 Ya que Dios, en su sabio designio, dispuso que el mundo no lo conociera mediante la sabiduría humana, tuvo a bien salvar, mediante la locura de la predicación, a los que creen. 22 Los judíos piden señales milagrosas y los gentiles buscan sabiduría, 23 mientras que nosotros predicamos a Cristo crucificado. Los programas, las estrategias y la calidad de producción tienen su lugar, pero solo el evangelio posee el poder de transformar vidas genuinamente. Hemos sido testigos de cómo la gente rechaza presentaciones perfectamente elaboradas mientras abraza a Cristo a través de testimonios sencillos y sin adornos. Esto revela una verdad profunda: la salvación pertenece al Señor, no a nuestros métodos. Si bien debemos buscar la excelencia, nunca debemos confiar en nuestra astucia más que en el poder de Dios. El evangelio no necesita nuestros adornos; necesita nuestra fidelidad al proclamarlo. ¿Te da temor compartir a Cristo porque te falta elocuencia o recursos? Recuerda que la insensatez de Dios es más sabia que la sabiduría humana. El mensaje de la cruz, aunque ofensivo para algunos, sigue siendo el poder de Dios para salvación. Hoy, ora pidiendo valentía para compartir el evangelio sencillo con alguien. Confía en que la Palabra de Dios cumple el propósito para el cual Él la envía.
