Undivided Allegiance

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

"The Lord is one"—Echad—declares not just God's nature but demands our exclusive devotion. In our distracted world, we serve countless masters: cultural expectations, social media algorithms, financial security, and public opinion. Jesus said no one can serve two masters, yet we attempt it daily. When we declare God as our sole allegiance, every rival voice must be silenced. Examine your life honestly: whose voice directs your spending, your relationships, your time? A divided allegiance always produces a deaf ear to God's guidance. The call to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength is impossible when your attention is fractured. Today, identify one "other god" competing for your devotion and intentionally dethrone it. True worship requires undivided hearts.

«El Señor es el único» (Echad) no solo declara la naturaleza de Dios, sino que exige nuestra devoción exclusiva. En nuestro mundo lleno de distracciones, servimos a innumerables señores: expectativas culturales, algoritmos de redes sociales, seguridad financiera y la opinión pública. Jesús dijo que nadie puede servir a dos señores, y sin embargo lo intentamos a diario. Cuando declaramos que Dios es nuestra única lealtad, cualquier voz rival debe ser silenciada. Examina tu vida con honestidad: ¿de quién es la voz que dirige tus gastos, tus relaciones, tu tiempo? Una lealtad dividida siempre produce oídos sordos a la guía de Dios. El llamado a amar a Dios con todo tu corazón, toda tu alma, toda tu mente y todas tus fuerzas es imposible cuando tu atención está fragmentada. Hoy, identifica un «otro dios» que esté compitiendo por tu devoción y destrónalo intencionalmente. El verdadero culto requiere corazones no divididos.
