God Has Never Missed One Moment of Your Life

1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,

The disciples assumed Jesus was upset about the bread. Their assumption was wrong. We make similar assumptions about God. We assume He has forgotten us, moved on, or grown tired of our failures. Psalm 139 describes a God who knows when you sit and when you rise, who is familiar with every word before it reaches your tongue. Romans 5:8 reminds us that while we were still in sin, Christ went to the cross. He did not wait for us to get it right. He acted right on time. You may have missed moments, but God has never missed a single one of yours.

Reflection Question: What false assumption about God have you been carrying that needs to be surrendered today?

Practical Application: Read Psalm 139:1-12 slowly and prayerfully, replacing the word "me" with your own name as you read.

Los discípulos asumieron que Jesús estaba molesto por el pan. Su suposición era incorrecta. Nosotros hacemos suposiciones similares sobre Dios. Asumimos que nos ha olvidado, que ha seguido adelante o que se ha cansado de nuestros fallos.
