 Reading: Matthew 13:44-46
' “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.' Devotional: Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a hidden treasure and a pearl of great value. Just as the men in these parables joyfully sold everything to obtain their prize, we too are called to prioritize God's kingdom above all else. Today, reflect on what you value most in life. Are there things you're holding onto that might be hindering your relationship with God? Remember, true joy comes not from accumulating earthly treasures, but from fully embracing the priceless gift of God's love and presence. Ask God to reveal any areas where you need to "sell all" to gain more of Him. |
