 In our materialistic culture, it's easy to become overly focused on temporary things. Day 5: Living in Light of Eternity Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 'Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' - 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Jesus reminded His followers that gaining the whole world is worthless if one forfeits their soul. Are you investing more in things that will last forever or in things that will fade away? Ask God to help you see your life, possessions, and relationships through the lens of eternity. Make a commitment to realign your focus on what truly matters in light of God's kingdom. Día 5: Viviendo a la Luz de la Eternidad Lectura: 2 Corintios 4:16-18 'Por tanto, no nos desanimamos. Nos reta a vivir con una perspectiva eterna. En nuestra cultura tan materialista, es bien fácil clavarnos demasiado en las cosas pasajeras. Tómate un ratito para revisar tus prioridades. ¿Estás invirtiendo más en cosas que durarán para siempre o en cosas que se desvanecen como el humo? Pídele a Dios que te ayude a ver tu vida, tus posesiones y tus relaciones a través de los ojos de la eternidad. Comprométete a reenfocar tu atención en lo que realmente importa a la luz del reino de Dios. ¡No te dejes llevar por lo efímero! |
