Devotional: Caleb's story teaches us that our past circumstances don't have to define our future. Born a slave in Egypt, possibly of mixed heritage, Caleb could have used his background as an excuse for not fully embracing God's promises. Instead, he chose to focus on God's power and faithfulness. What aspects of your past or current situation are you tempted to use as excuses for not fully following God? Remember that in Christ, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Pray for the strength to press forward, leaving behind anything that hinders your spiritual growth. God can use every part of your story, even the painful or shameful parts, for His glory and your good. |
