Reading: Galatians 5:16-25
'So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.'

The Holy Spirit is our constant companion and guide as believers. Paul contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, showing us two paths we can choose.

Consider the areas in your life where you're struggling to manifest the fruit of the Spirit. Are there fleshly tendencies you need to surrender?

Walking in the Spirit is a moment-by-moment choice to yield to God's leading.

​Today, practice being more aware of the Spirit's presence. Before making decisions or reacting to situations, pause and ask for the Spirit's guidance.

Día 3: Caminando en el Espíritu

'Así que les digo: vivan por el Espíritu y no sigan los deseos de la carne; porque esta desea lo que es contrario al Espíritu y a su vez el Espíritu desea lo que es contrario a ella. Los dos se oponen entre sí, de modo que ustedes no pueden hacer lo que quieren. Pero si los guía el Espíritu, no están bajo la Ley. Las obras de la carne se conocen bien: inmoralidad sexual, impureza y libertinaje; idolatría y hechicería; odio, discordia, celos, arrebatos de ira, rivalidades, desacuerdos, sectarismos y envidia; borracheras, orgías y otras cosas parecidas. Les advierto ahora, como antes lo hice, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el reino de Dios. En cambio, el fruto del Espíritu es amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, amabilidad, bondad, fidelidad, humildad y dominio propio. No hay ley que condene estas cosas. Los que son de Cristo Jesús han crucificado la carne con sus pasiones y deseos. Si el Espíritu nos da vida, andemos guiados por el Espíritu. No dejemos que la vanidad nos lleve a provocarnos y a envidiarnos unos a otros.'

El Espíritu Santo es nuestro compañero y guía constante como creyentes. Pablo contrasta las obras de la carne con el fruto del Espíritu, mostrándonos dos caminos que podemos elegir.

Considera las áreas de tu vida donde estás batallando para manifestar el fruto del Espíritu. ¿Hay tendencias carnales que necesitas entregar?

​Caminar en el Espíritu es una elección momento a momento de rendirte a la dirección de Dios.

​Hoy, practica estar más consciente de la presencia del Espíritu. Antes de tomar decisiones o reaccionar a situaciones, haz una pausa y pide la guía del Espíritu.
