 Day 1: Embracing God's Peace in Our Fear Reading: John 20:19-23 'On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” ' Devotional: Just as Jesus appeared to His disciples in their locked room of fear, He desires to meet us in our places of anxiety and doubt. The resurrected Christ didn't rebuke His followers for their lack of faith, but instead offered them peace. Today, reflect on the areas of your life where fear may be holding you captive. How might Jesus be offering you His peace in those situations? Remember, no locked door can keep Christ from reaching you with His love and grace. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you open your heart to receive the peace that surpasses all understanding. Español
