Following a lifetime journey of transformation
I love Jesus, I love my family, and I love our church. I feel overwhelmed by the love that God has showed me through His people. For a little over a year now, my wife and I started a new chapter in our lives when we were called to lead The Gathering after my Pastor moved to take a new assignment in another church. We have seen answered prayers, provision, great times of worship, and spiritual growth that I am certain that God has even greater things for us as we surrender to His will.
During this month I like to remind our church and myself that “the best way to give thanks, is by giving”. As we looked for opportunities to give and reach out, I came in contact with a nursing home in the City of Juarez in Mexico. As soon as I found out about their needs, I felt compelled to do something about it. I went to visit “Principe de Paz” (Prince of Peace) nursing home, and met with it’s director, Pastor Victor. I was amazed at Victor’s faith, him and his family run this place truly by faith. They receive elderly people who are homeless with no one to care for them. They feed them, clothed them, and teach them about God. Funded only by donations received, they rely on God to supply for their needs, and God has been faithful. As the church, we are called to help the needy; we don’t have to pray about it, we just have to obey. Please pray for Victor, his family, and their ministry. Pray also for The Gathering as we reach out to this ministry.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
