Following a lifetime journey of transformation
There is a time when life becomes our main focus, when suddenly everything is about the business of every day. We get overwhelmed by the responsibilities of our daily tasks and we become restless. In Christ we have the promise to find rest and peace. As we understand and accept Christ's gift to us we receive that peace the surpasses all understanding. We can't be the same after we've had an encounter with the living God. Obedience is always a must, yes we are covered by grace, but that grace also empowers us to live holy lives pleasing to God. If we are not careful, we could not only loose our focus, but we will also be exhausted and without peace. God wants to give us rest; Rest is found in His presence.
Hebrews 4:9-11 (NIV)
9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
