There is no better way to hear God speak than through His word. Emotions and feeling are part of who we are, but if we are not careful, we can drift from God's truth. We need guidance, and such guidance comes through the Bible.
I hope you have taken the opportunity to read the suggested book and follow along some of the video lessons. I want to finish this month reading a Bible plan together. You can find the plan and join on the link below.
I hope we can continue on this journey together.
It’s been a busy week at the Romero’s home. Seems like the more we try to find quiet time for God, the more unexpected events show up. Last week our little one was sick, and you know how that goes. I am not sure how your week was, but let me remind you that God is the same, and He is ready to respond when you call upon his name. So don’t give up, keep pressing on, keep making time, and pursue God’s presence with all your heart.
If you haven’t had a chance to get the book I recommended last week, I encourage you to try to do it this week. I have recently developed a habit of listening books besides my regular readings and it has been a great experience so far. This may be a good option for you.
Below is the link to watch the video teachings that reinforce the book we are reading this month. Each session is short and to the point, I am certain you will be inspired and encouraged. Take your time on each one and meditate on what you hear. Then let God speak to you directly; He is always speaking.
Let me know your thoughts, and share this with somebody this week. I hope to see you soon!
I began this year reading an interesting book on how to hear God’s voice. As soon as I began reading the first few pages I realized how much I lack in my ability to listen. Not only to God’s voice but even to the ones around me.
Every day I rush out of bed with an urgency to accomplishing something, finish a project, plan a new series, answer phone calls or make some; I am busy. The truth is we are often overwhelmed by the amount of tasks we have to finish on a day to day basis. But what could happen if we made an effort to hear God’s voice? I am sure most of us pray, but how many times do we stop to listen?
This book is helping me learn to slow down even if it is for a few minutes a day and hear God speak. This month I am inviting you to read it with me and together experience the overwhelming joy of hearing God’s voice.
The book is called “Whisper” by Mark Batterson. Next week I will send a link to a video teaching to reinforce what we read. And towards the end of the month we will read a short Bible plan based on the same book.
I pray God will speak and lead you into the life He has planned for you.
